Since we bought our house over two years ago we have been struggling with credit card debt. We've paid it off three times in that amount of time, but usually by the next week we'd be in debt again. Terrible thing! Back in November we got serious about getting out and STAYING OUT FOREVER! And last week we did it! Never again will we have credit card debt! Now we're working on our student loans and the airplane loan, and then the house. It seems like a never ending thing, but at least we will never have credit card debt again! :o)

That is awesome for you both. I hope you feel relieved and more in control. In addition to fighting to be debt free, another idea that we are working at is savings with rewards once we've reached a certain dollar threshold. Our next reward trip...a raft trip down the Grand Canyon. It gives you motivation to keep working towards what you want and not get distracted by everyday wants that keep you from reaching the goal. Take it for what it's worth. Anyway I'm glad to hear it, and maybe we can help finish your basement soon.
