Mariana & Todd's Baby

Today at 11:00 am the cutest baby boy I've ever seen (and no one can take offense from that since I haven't seen yours) was born- Tiago Gabriel Theodoro Wilkins (Mariana's Brazilian).  Gabriel is seriously perfect and the most handsome little baby!  Mariana is doing wonderful after the C section!  I'm quite amazed at how well she's doing after a big surgery like that.  Her and Todd are just as happy as can be!

Mariana's Mom Bernadette, and sister Livia, arrived from Brazil yesterday.  Here's Mari and her Mom before surgery.  I know, they look like sisters!  I hope I look this amazing when I'm 39 weeks pregnant!
Cute Gabriel after the harsh awakening into his new world.

This made both me and Chris more excited for our little bundle of joy in a few months!  :o)

What's Your Vote?

Okay, I'm having a hard time deciding which crib bedding set to use.  I know, it's lame.  But a lot of the room is themed around this.  Chris really doesn't care so I'm taking votes.  So far it's three to three.  And one person said it depends on the color of the crib and furniture which we don't know yet.

Which do you like best?

THANK YOU!!!

28 weeks

28 down, 12 to go!  I'm now in the final trimester, seven months!  And now I've really popped.  Now my patients can actually tell I'm pregnant, even in my scrubs.  :o)  I've realized how incredibly much more comfortable maternity clothes are.  Yesterday we had an OB appointment and it was great!  My fundus measured small again, 26 weeks, so the doctor did an U/S.  And it was the doctor who did the U/S on an old machine so it didn't turn out very good.  The pictures aren't even worth posting.  But I was sooooo happy to hear that she measured 29 weeks two to five days, and I had plenty of amniotic fluid!  So take that everyone who tells me too small for seven months, she's as healthy as can be!  ;-)

So Keira is doing wonderful!  She's moving all over and having a blast in there!  Although she is looking forward to meeting her family!  She is now about 15.75 inches and weighs about 2.4 pounds.

I'm doing great also!  I've decided I'm allergic to work because I've been getting some rib pain on the left side but only at work.  I just played volleyball and it was fine.  But other than that, I feel great!  Yesterday I finally sucked it up and went swimming.  I hadn't been since my last triathlon a year ago today.  We finally had another absolutely gorgeous day all day long so I took advantage of a wonderful outdoor pool.  I swam for an hour and it felt great!  Chris and I went biking a few days ago and that was fabulous also!  I think now that my tummy has expanded a little, my diaphragm has more room to move and I can take deeper breaths.  I felt so much better on the ride than I have the last couple of times.  I think I feel better and have more energy when I work out.

I also got my hair cut and highlighted.  My sister and the hair stylist finally talked me into it.  Plus I  need to start actually trying to look better, especially as I'm getting larger and will soon have a baby.  I might even try to wear makeup more often.  I think the highlights look pretty natural, so I like it!  Plus it looks a little blonder since it hasn't been sunny much here and my hair isn't doing it naturally like it usually does in the summer.  I guess I could just have patience, but this works too!

Chris' Birthday Extravaganza

A couple of weeks ago was Chris' Birthday and we planned it so we had four days off together!   It was sooooo much fun!  I kept asking the silly boy what he wanted to do and he wouldn't tell me and made it a surprise for me, which of course I loved!  Although, I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed in the beginning because I was hoping to go somewhere, but I should've known that he would not disappoint!

Our favorite day was Saturday.  It was probably the first entirely sunny and warm day we've had in about a month, so we took full advantage of it.  We woke up early to play beach (okay, sand) volleyball at a park and that was a blast!

We then went for a wonderful bike ride!   I was 26 weeks or six and a half months, and not quit in the shape I used to be in.  It may have something do to with the fact that this was the first time we'd been biking ALL YEAR!  (That is sooo sad!)  It was such an awesome ride!  But I must admit, I did get a little winded, my legs were getting a little tired, and I did have a little trouble taking deep breaths because I felt like my diaphragm couldn't expand enough.  So much fun though!!!  Unfortunately (and luckily for you, you can't see it) my stomach was exploding out of my little bike top.  I'm forced to wear the one that's supposed to be form fitting rather than my others that aren't, because they look ridiculously too small.

Afterwards we got lunch at a BBQ place and took it to a lake near our house and had a little mosquito infested picnic.
 Bear Creek Lake Park
Then we rented a canoe and took Jason canoeing for about an hour.  It was sooooo much fun!  Although Jason was making it a bit scary for me because he kept going from side to side of the canoe and I felt like it was going to tip over.

The last time we had been canoing in Colorado was almost five years ago when Chris proposed.  :o)
Then we went down to the beach (at the lake) and I laid out for about 15 minutes until we got kicked out for having our pup with us.  Now we know the next best thing to an actual beach that's less than five miles from our house.

And then when we got home we decided to give tennis a try also for the first time this summer.  That didn't go so well, for me.  First of all, I think I was exhausted.  And second of all, tennis just isn't doing it for me right now.  I'm not fast at all right now, not to mention I had to go to the bathroom shortly after arriving.  Poor Chris, I was being super lazy and not chasing after balls and sometimes not even running in the court to get them.  He was such a good sport about it though!  To finish our fabulous day off we watched a movie.

On Chris' Birthday we exchanged the Wii I had bought him for his Birthday for a Playstation 3.  We had Cold Stone ice cream for lunch which was probably more for me than him and then we watched Terminator Salvation in the movie theater.  For dinner we had his all time favorite, speghetti.  It was nice because he made the sauce a few nights before the big day so it would taste even better, so I didn't have to struggle to make it.  I did make him pineapple upside cake which turned out pretty good.

The Birthday Boy!
Who knew spending four days at home together could be sooooo much fun!!!
