Chris and Sarah's Wedding

One of the great things about best friends is that you become good friends with their good friends.  I think maybe all of my friends in college were because of Maria.  Chris and Sarah are no exception.  Their wedding today was beautiful!  It was at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver.  It was a gorgeous wedding and great to see friends again!

Jordan is just too cute!  I think she gets cuter every time I see her!

Tony, Maria, and Jordan

Chris and Sarah, unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of the happy couple!

One of the very amazing and holy things about the Catholics is that the priests devote their entire life to serving God.  That would be such a sacrifice for me, but something they are so happy to do.  I'm glad I don't have to make any choices like that.  Here's a picture of five seminary "drop outs," Adam?, Tony, Raymond, Chris, Jason, and Mike is the only one who's in the seminary still.  Two more years and he's a priest!  Three of the five are married and the other two have girl friends.  Marriage would be a haaard thing to give up, that's devotion and dedication!

Happy Easter!!!

Easter is such a wonderful holiday!  And today was no exception although it didn't start off as the greatest.  Today I was asked to share my conversion story at church.  The only good part about it was that Chris, and my sister and brother-in-law all came, thank goodness.   It meant soooooo much to me!  I don't think I would've been able to go up there if Chris hadn't been there.  I honestly think it's one of the scariest things I've ever done.  I think I would've rather been in a room full of spiders than up in front of everyone.  At least I was surrounded by my favorite flower, lilies, and my family was there to support me.

After church Chris and I flew up to Greeley where my brother and mom have been working hard on his house.  Laura and Ross met us there also.  It was so wonderful to be with my family again!  We haven't all been together in a long time!

Great picture of my Mom and John!

Anniversary Flight to Goodland, Kansas

Wow!  I can't believe it's been three years that we've been married.  Sometimes it seems like so much longer than that, it's hard to remember my life without him.  And sometimes it feels like we're still newly weds, I still feel the same giddiness when I'm with him and I have the same love that I did when we were just married, except that it has grown stronger everyday.  I love you Sweetheart and look forward to spending the rest of my life with you!

Unfortunately we both had to work on our anniversary :-(  so we celebrated a couple of days earlier.  (We're also going to Florida the first week of April for an anniversary trip and to head to warmer climates!  I can't wait!!!)  So to celebrate we flew to Goodland, Kansas.  Roundtrip the flight was about three and a half hours, which is the longest we've been on.  It was a wonderful trip besides being a bit windy. Goodland is a small town "but effective" as Chris says, "because it got us out of Colorado for a few hours."  I think he would like anywhere we fly to.

I don't quite have the aim down for self portraits.

We went to one of the few restaurants in town that wasn't the greatest, but we were hungry.

Our First Bike Ride of the Year!

The weather was finally nice enough (almost) for our first bike ride!  I was freezing during the first 20-30 minutes but after going up the hill I was good for the rest of the ride!  What a great day!  It was actually on March 10th, I'm a bit behind.

Happy Daylight Savings! :o)

I LOVE Daylight Savings!  It's probably one of my favorite days of the year.  I LOVE the longer days and more daylight!  It means spring is right around the corner, as well as our anniversary which is also very exciting!

Things have been going really great lately!  I just started my new job where I work two days a week in the ICU and one in the ER.  I've only worked in the ICU twice but I LOVED it!  Of course I'm on orientation and have TONS of learning to do, but it was sooo much less stressful than the ER!  We actually had time to sit, talk, eat, and go to the bathroom.  I hope I continue to love it as much as I do now!

Sunday was such an awesome day!  I love Sundays!  I said a prayer in Relief Society for the first time which was super scary.  And I was asked to share my conversion story at the Easter Sacrament meeting which I'm scared to death to and not looking forward to.  I think I fear public speaking even more than spiders, wow!  That afternoon I went to a baby shower and that was fun!  As soon as I got back from that we had dinner with a couple of couples from church and I had a blast!  They were all so nice and I'm making friends!  AND Chris had fun too!

Now I think we're going to go on our first bike ride of the year!  HURRAY!  :o)

My LITTLE Brother Bought a House!

My little brother is really growing up!  He served four years in the Army stationed in Alaska and had a 16 month tour in Iraq.  He's been out for almost a year and is in Greeley, CO (about an hour and 15 minutes northeast of us) going to school for criminal justice.  And he just bought a house!  He got an awesome deal on it but it's definitely a fixer upper.  Chris and I recently had the pleasure of helping them out last week.

Here's the outside of the house.  It looks awesome from the outside!

John has the cutest seven month old puppy named Kena (he stole our cat's name.)  She's a Bull Mastiff which means she's going to be HUGE!  This was the best our pups have ever played together!  This picture was taken after several hours of intense playing when they were finally pooped!

Ohhhh!  So sweet!

Routers are COOL!  I need to start helping Chris and his wood projects more often!

Did I mention how cute my mom and brother are!  John has to be the funniest and one of the sweetest and most generous people I have ever met!  He is going to make one lucky girl soooo happy!  Obviously, he is huge and totally dwarfs my mom!  My mom always makes jokes that she's as tall as us and tries to stand on her tip toes.

Ohhhhh!

Aren't they adorable!

Our New Airplane!

Well it's certainly not ours yet.  We are looking into joining a 1/8 partnership in a Cessna 172.  We took it up for a flight the other day and here are some pictures of it.  It will save us a lot of money in the long run, especially while Chris is getting all of the flight time and taking classes to become a commercial pilot.  I was actually quite proud of him.  He had been looking into getting a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Although his 1992 Jeep Cherokee has been running just fine, in some ways he does deserve a new car.  But the day we were going to go look at them, he decided that he needs to make sacrifices if he wants to be a pilot.  So this airplane is half the price of a used car and will be much more beneficial to us in the long run because it will cost half as much to fly.

High School Friends Girls' Night Out

One of my best friends from high school, Mariana, was in town for a few days interviewing for med school here in Denver.  She did her undergrad in Kansas but is actually from Brazil.  I'm really, really, really hoping that she and her husband will be moving here soon for school!
While she was in town we got together with some of our other friends from high school in Golden.  It was great seeing everyone again!  Sometimes it's fun to just hang out with the girls!

Yikes, I knew I was bad at bowling, I just had no idea I was THIS bad!

Me, Kelly, Mariana, and Sadie.  What a fun night!

College Girls Night Out

Last week a couple of my friends from freshman year in the dorms at CSU got together!  It's hard to believe that we've been friends for almost 10 years!  Wow, that doesn't mean we're getting old does it?  Maria is happily married and has a beautiful two and a half month baby girl.  And Brooke is getting married in June.

She's going to be a fighter!  Watch out Maria and Tony!

Another Fun Flying Experience

We were quite excited to go see the Royal Gorge near Canon City.  But we didn't quite make it. The weather was getting worse between Colorado Springs and Pueblo and it was snowing, so my very smart and safe pilot decided to turn around.  Maybe another time!

The reason for our turn around
